Matthew Popper

Matt Popper is the Head of Financial and Information Services Investing at GrowthCurve Capital. Prior to joining GrowthCurve, Matt was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in the Principal Investment Area within the Merchant Banking Division, where he helped lead the Financial and Information Services Corporate Private Equity investing effort in the Americas. During his 12 years at Goldman Sachs, Matt was responsible for the identification, evaluation, and execution of private equity investments in the financial services, technology, and data analytics sectors. Matt was also a member of the team that led the initial build-out of Goldman Sachs’s digital consumer platform, Marcus by Goldman Sachs.

Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Matt was a credit derivatives trader at a structured credit investment firm.

Matt earned an AB in Economics, summa cum laude, from Princeton University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
