Spyros Tsoukalas

Spyros Tsoukalas is the head of business development at Growthmentor. Spyros has also founded SelfGuided and co-founded Languages Without Borders.

Spyros has always been interested in helping others and making a difference. This led him to found SelfGuided, a company that provides self-guided tours around Corfu. Spyros grew the team to 12 people in summer 2021, and they developed the first chatbot for supporting a tourist destination.

In September 2019, Spyros co-founded Languages Without Borders, a volunteering NGO/NPO that develops digital solutions for social problems. They have developed 4 apps so far, and they are conducting fundraising, business & strategy development, and product development & impact measurement activities. Spyros is leading and motivating a team of 4 talented volunteers with diverse backgrounds. Some of their indicative solutions include CoronaSMS (14 languages) and Communication Guide for Greek-Arabic (under testing).

Spyros Tsoukalas has a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. Spyros is certified by PRAKSIS Business Coaching Center as a participant, MASHAV Carmel Training Center as a Social Entrepreneurship: Transforming an Idea to a Business, and Apnea Academy as an APNEA Diver - 2nd tire. Spyros also has licenses from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks (Greece) to operate motorbikes and trucks, and from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Islands and Fisheries to operate speed boats. Spyros has certificates of completion from Autodesk for AutoCAD 3D and AutoCAD 2D.
