Brenda Mdaka ACMA, CGMA has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Brenda began their career as a Client Accountant at PKF Durban, where they handled financial and management accounting duties for a portfolio of 22 entities. Brenda was responsible for bookkeeping, preparing annual financial statements, and managing administrative and statutory returns.

After their role at PKF Durban, Brenda joined the Wilhelmsen group as an Accounts Clerk. Here, they were primarily responsible for debt collection, reconciling debtor accounts, and managing creditor payments and reporting.

Following their time at the Wilhelmsen group, Brenda joined Growthpoint Properties as a Senior Creditors Clerk. In this role, they handled reconciliation and payment of creditors in the retail sector for the KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape regions. Brenda also maintained creditor profiles and communicated with suppliers regarding invoicing and payment queries.

Additionally, they provide ad-hoc statistics to the treasury department and supports property management during budgets and performance reviews.

Brenda Mdaka ACMA, CGMA has a diverse education history spanning various institutions and years. In 1998, they completed their Matric degree at Marburg Secondary School. Brenda then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2003 to 2005. Following that, Brenda completed a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika between 2008 and 2010. Currently, from 2020 to 2023, they are attending CIMA to obtain an Associate's degree, although the field of study has not been specified.
