Gershuine Rooi has a comprehensive work experience spanning over 17 years. Gershuine started their journey in 2003 as the General Manager at Busnet Finance (Pty) Ltd and held this position until 2006. In 2007, they joined Kelvin Power (Pty) Ltd as a Payroll and HR Business person, contributing their expertise until 2010. Gershuine then took up a role at SAS as a Compensation and Benefits/HR Generalist from 2010 to 2013. Following this, they joined Growthpoint Properties in 2013, where they held various roles, including Payroll Manager and Employee Benefits from 2013 to 2015, and later as a Human Resources Business Partner from 2015 onwards. In their latter role, they were responsible for overseeing HR functions, collaborating with management on human capital management and planning, and providing support to the business through close engagement with HR Centre's Of Excellence. Gershuine's diverse experience showcases their proficiency in HR management and their ability to adapt to different industries and roles.
Gershuine Rooi received their Matric certificate from Carter High School in 2000. In 2004, they began studying Accounting at RAU (UJ), but did not complete the degree. Gershuine then pursued a PMD degree in Business Management at GIBS from 2012 to 2013. Recently, from 2017 to 2022, Gershuine completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Human Resources Management and Accounting at the University of the Witwatersrand.
