Megan Garbayo López

Megan Garbayo López serves as the Education Manager at SIFF since October 2021, focusing on audience engagement through filmmaking education. In addition to programming films for young creators at SIFF, Megan is a Board Member at GRRL HAUS CINEMA, which promotes works by women, non-binary, and trans artists. As an Industry Advisory Board Member for NFFTY, the leading festival for emerging directors, Megan contributes to the youth arts organization. Previous roles include Customer Support Representative at Elevent, Social Media Manager for the Nightstream Festival, and Outreach & Education Manager at Three Dollar Bill Cinema, showcasing a robust background in film education, outreach, and production coordination. Holding a BA in Visual and Media Arts from Emerson College, Megan also has international exposure through studies at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
