Theresa Hümmer

Theresa H. has extensive experience in the tourism and heritage sectors, currently serving as a Tourism Assistant at Thoroughbred Country South Carolina since March 2022. Previously, Theresa worked as a Tourism Coordinator for the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism from February 2015 to March 2022, where responsibilities included engaging customer service and promoting tourism destinations. Prior to that, Theresa held various roles, including Historic House Interpreter at The Charleston Museum, where the history of significant Charleston houses was shared with visitors. Additional experience includes roles in public administration, sales, and early positions in retail and customer service. Theresa holds a degree from Winthrop University, where studies took place from August 1986 to May 1990.
