Ashar Ahmad

Ashar Ahmad, PhD, currently serves as Associate Director and Principal Data Scientist at Grünenthal Group, initiating the "R&D for unmet pain needs" impact initiative and supervising external Data Science experts. Previously, Ashar held roles as Lead Data Scientist at UCB, contributing to multi-modal ML model development for Parkinson Disease and GraphML for drug safety predictions. Prior experience includes a Senior Research Assistant position at The University of Bonn, focusing on Machine Learning in Oncology, and a Research Assistant role at Universitätsklinikum Bonn, analyzing brain cancer patient data. Academic credentials include a PhD in Computational Life Science from The University of Bonn, an M.S. in Computer Science from Babes-Bolyai University, and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
