Farid Behboodi-Sadabad

Farid Behboodi-Sadabad has a diverse work experience starting as a Quality Control Manager at Delta Offshore Group in 2010. Farid then worked as a Raw Material Specialist at Mapna Group before progressing to roles such as Associate Research Scientist and PhD Research Scientist at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie. Farid later joined West Pharmaceutical Services as a Senior R&D Specialist before moving on to the Grünenthal Group where they held positions including Sustainability Packaging Lead and Global Packaging Innovation and Technology Lead. Additionally, they collaborated with the University of California, Berkeley as a Visiting Researcher in 2017.

Farid Behboodi-Sadabad completed their Bachelor's Degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic in 2008. Farid then pursued a Master's Degree in Polymer Engineering at the same institution from 2008 to 2011. Following this, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry with a focus on Polymer Science and Technology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2018. Additionally, in 2017-2018, they were a Visiting Research Collaborator at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in Bioinspired Material Science and Bioengineering. Farid also gained various certifications in project management, good manufacturing practices, mentoring, and scientific writing during their educational journey.
