Marcílio Marques Moreira

Born in November 1931, graduated in Law from the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, is a former member of the Board of Directors of BNDES, former vice-president and member of the Board of Directors of Grupo Unibanco, he was also Ambassador of Brazil to the to the Government of the United States of America, Minister of Economy, Finance and Planning and Special Advisor to the Municipal Government of the City of Rio de Janeiro. Today he is a senior international consultant at Merril Lynch & Co and a member of the Advisory Boards of American Bank Note-Brasil, Marsh & McLennan Companies and Embratel. He is also an independent director of Energisa Minas Gerais – Distribuidora de Energia S/A; Energisa Sergipe – Distribuidora de Energia S/A; Energisa Paraíba – Distribuidora de Energia S/A; and Energisa Borborema – Distribuidora de Energia S/A.
