Ricardo Brunet

Ricardo Brunet has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a focus on trading, macro-energy studies, and regulatory affairs. Ricardo has worked at Energisa as the Head Trader, where they set up structured operations for long-term value and implemented directional trading strategies. Ricardo also acquired PPA's to support the activities of the Commercial team. Prior to this role, Brunet worked as the Middle Office Manager at Energisa, where they managed price studies, participated in scenario setups, and evaluated PLD scenarios. Before joining Energisa, they served as a Consultant at MATRA Representações Ltda., where they focused on services for consumers and distributed generation. Ricardo provided analysis for free market migration, monitored regulatory affairs, and conducted lectures on the Brazilian energy market. Brunet also has experience at Light Com as a Business Executive and Commercial Coordinator, where they engaged in commercial activities, energy trading, and regulatory affairs support. Ricardo'searly career included roles at Andrade&Canellas as an Energy Specialist, where they conducted forecasting studies for supply tariffs and managed energy costs for industry consumers.

Ricardo Brunet has a Certificate in Business Administration (CBA) from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa, which they obtained in 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora between 2001 and 2005. In addition, they also obtained a certification as an Energy Market Operator (Brazil) from ABRACEEL / FDTE – USP in 2011.
