Daniel Villegas has a diverse background in digital strategy, data analytics, and economics. Daniel currently holds the position of Head of Digital Strategy at Grupo Expansión since April 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Gerente Data Analytics at Grupo Multimedios, where they created and implemented analytics strategies using tools such as Google Analytics, Data Studio, and Power BI. Before that, they worked as a Digital Strategy analyst at Forbes México, where they designed KPIs and utilized machine learning techniques for traffic modeling. Daniel also has experience as a Data Analyst at Grupo Imagen Multimedia, where they conducted data analysis and created data-driven content strategies. Additionally, they worked as an Editor of Economics at Grupo Imagen and as an Economist at El Financiero, where they analyzed various economic datasets and was responsible for distributing digital content within the economics section.

Daniel Villegas has a diverse education history. In 2009 to 2014, they attended the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where they pursued a degree in Economics. Daniel later enrolled in the Universidad Autónoma de México in 2016 for a course on Analyzing Macroeconomic Indicators in Current Contexts. In 2017, Daniel briefly studied at GreenShark, where they completed a Diploma in Data Science with a focus on Information Technology.
