Bernard Gutierrez Funes has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Bernard started their career in 2002 as a Junior Consultant at everis, where they worked on projects for Agencia Catalana del Agua and Retevisión. In 2003, they joined Freixenet as the Administrator of the Local Area Network (LAN), where they managed servers, routers, help desk, and other IT infrastructure. Bernard also worked as a Project Manager and a Contact Center Area Manager at Freixenet.
In 2008, Bernard became a Consultant Analyst for SAP/R3 supply chain areas at Freixenet. Bernard then moved on to the role of Digital Manager, where they focused on digitalization processes and digital strategy planning for the Freixenet Group. Currently, they hold the position of Global CIO (Chief Information Officer) at Freixenet, where they head the Information Systems management.
Bernard has also been involved in professional organizations such as AUSAPE and CIO Executive Council from IDG, where they served on the executive board and as a council member, respectively.
Bernard Gutierrez Funes completed an advanced program in Leadership and Team Management called the "Programme for Leadership Development" at Esade in 2017-2018. Prior to this, they pursued a Master's degree in CIO Advanced Program at Esade from 2015-2016. In 2015, they also attended ESIC Business & Marketing School for an Executive Education program in Finance for non-financial professionals. In 2012, they obtained a certification in Community Management from AERCO. In 2007-2008, Bernard completed an MBA at ESIC Business & Marketing School. Their undergraduate studies were at UPC, where they earned a degree in Telecomunications Engineering from 1996-2002.
