Graduated in economics from Faculdade Cândido Mendes, in 1991. He also holds MBA degrees from COPPEAD and IBMEC, awarded in 1995 and 2001, respectively. In 1986, Mr. Birmarcker joined Profarma as the director responsible for logistics, product purchase and sale, and marketing. He is currently Vice President of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer, having been elected on August 6, 2009.
