Alvaro Velasco

Alvaro Velasco Cortes is an experienced professional with extensive expertise in financial management and operations, currently serving as Country Manager and COO at Grupo Tracker since 2010. Prior to this role, Alvaro was the Chief Financial Officer at Republic - Negocios Ambientais from August 2008 to 2010. Alvaro's career at Grupo Tracker began in October 2002, progressing through various financial roles including Gerente Financeiro, Coordenador Financeiro, and Analista Financeiro until 2008. Alvaro holds a degree in Finanças e Relaçõeīs Internacionais from Universidad Externado de Colombia (1997-2001) and participated in the Washington Semester Program in Economics at American University (2001-2002). Alvaro is also pursuing ongoing education at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas since 2006.
