Alejandro Mercado, Esq. is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in privacy, cybersecurity, and digital innovation. Currently serving as Senior Legal Advisor and Head Legal Counsel for Privacy, Cybersecurity and Digital Innovation at Triple-S, Alejandro advises executive management on Medicare and Medicaid compliance and addresses various legal and regulatory issues in the healthcare sector. Alejandro also contributes as an Affiliate Expert on eDiscovery and Privacy Law at Bates Group, and holds positions as an Adjunct Professor of Law at both Inter American University School of Law and Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law, specializing in eDiscovery. Prior roles include Special Counsel at Arroyo & Rios Law Offices and Attorney at AMG-Adsuar Muñiz Goyco Seda & Pérez-Ochoa, where Alejandro provided expert legal advice on federal and state privacy laws and engaged in complex civil litigation.
