Greyhound Racing Victoria
Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) is the statutory body responsible for promoting and controlling the sport of greyhound racing in Victoria. A key part of its role is the setting of standards, regulating and policing the industry and the people involved. GRV oversees more than 1,300 race meetings held across 13 venues throughout the state each year, GRV distributes to owners and trainers around $50 million dollars in prize money and other returns to participants. The greyhound racing industry makes a substantial contribution to the Victorian economy, both as a recreational pursuit, and as an industry that employs thousands of people and generates millions of dollars in state revenues. GRV’s goal is to effectively manage, promote and develop a vibrant greyhound racing industry in Victoria. We aim to provide an environment that allows for future expansion and enduring revenue growth to maximize opportunities and returns for all participants. The welfare of our participants, in particular the magnificent greyhound breed, is the number one priority for GRV.
