GS EPS

GS EPS, subsidiary of GS Group (7th largest business group in Korea) was established in 1996 (former name LG Energy) as the first independent power producer (“IPP”). GS EPS operates 2,406MW of Gas-fired Combined Cycle power plant (“CCGT”), 105MW of Biomass power, 30MW Wind farm, 2.4MW Fuel cell power plant and representing the Korean power market as a leading IPP player. In addition, GS EPS is the first Korean IPP who entered the U.S. power market by acquiring 10% membership interests of 972MW Linden Cogeneration Complex (“Linden Cogen”) in New Jersey, United States. Leveraging the gas fired power plant development and operation experiences accumulated in Korea, GS EPS will seek more power business opportunities in the U.S. Power markets and other IPP opportunities in the global markets.
