Jessica Alanis

Environmental Scientist II at GSI Environmental Inc.

Jessica Alanis is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Houston, a position held since January 2024. Jessica has been working as an Environmental Scientist at GSI Environmental Inc. since July 2020. Prior experience includes roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Rice University from August 2019 to May 2020 and as a Mickey Leland Environmental Intern at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality during the summer of 2019, specifically within the Galveston Bay Estuary Program Office. Additionally, Jessica served as Program Coordinator for the Young Owls Leadership Program (YOLP) from December 2017 to June 2019. Jessica holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Houston (2024-2026) and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Rice University (2016-2020). Jessica completed secondary education at the Young Women's Leadership Academy from 2012 to 2016.
