Gene Bang has a diverse work experience in the gaming and software development industries. Gene started their career as a Junior Software Engineer at Aptix in 2000, where they worked for over a year. In 2004, Gene joined Namco Bandai Games America as a QA Lead Tester, where they created test plans and managed test assignments for small and large test teams. Gene also worked as a Game Designer at Namco Bandai, where they documented and implemented interactive gameplay for console games and evaluated new game engines. In 2012, Gene attended Dev Bootcamp and gained experience in web development using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, and HTML/CSS. After completing the bootcamp, they joined Chefs Feed as a Software Engineer, where they designed, developed, and maintained web apps for internal use. Gene joined Redacted Studios in 2014 as a Game Designer on a contract basis. Gene then joined GSN (TV & Games) in 2015 as a Game Designer.

Gene Bang attended UCLA from 1996 to 2000 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
