John Carmichael is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles, currently serving as President and Director of Strategic Partnerships at GT Independence since February 2005. Under John Carmichael's leadership, GT Independence has transformed the broader healthcare industry, tripled the number of people served, and won national accolades such as the Best Places to Work award. Significant achievements include expanding services across 11 states and developing a leading application for timekeeping and verification. Previously, John Carmichael served as Chief Operating Officer, where the organization emerged as a national leader in financial management services, significantly increasing annual growth rates. Additionally, John Carmichael was the youngest mayor in Sturgis, Michigan, before the age of 30, where a successful initiative was led to privatize the Municipal hospital. John Carmichael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Trine University.
