Antonio Burt is the CEO of KIPP Memphis. Antonio was previously the Director of School Transformation at Pinellas County Schools from January 2016 to July 2017. In this role, they provided instructional and leadership coaching to the lowest-performing schools within the district, assisted in the development of School Improvement Plans, and managed and supported the principals at these schools. Antonio also helped to implement the recruitment/retention plan to encourage teachers and instructional coaches to transfer or remain at low-performing schools based on increased learning gains. Antonio has a wealth of experience in working with low-performing schools and is dedicated to helping them improve.
Dr. Antonio Burt is an educational leader who has devoted their career to improving the quality of instruction in schools. Antonio holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Instructional Leadership from Freed-Hardeman University, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Social Sciences from the University of North Alabama, and a Master of Arts (M.A.) and Educational Specialist Ed.S. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Freed-Hardeman University. Dr. Burt has served as a teacher, principal, and district administrator in both public and private schools. Antonio is currently the Director of Education for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
