Tony Abate

Tony Abate is an experienced executive with a robust background in corporate governance and business transformation. Currently serving as the Executive Chairman of GTT since January 2021, Abate previously founded and leads MA3Ventures, advising venture-backed start-ups and established companies. Abate's extensive board experience includes roles as Chairperson of the Board for Southeastern Grocers, where significant financial improvements were achieved, and independent director positions at Denbury Resources Inc., Tops Markets, Broadview Networks, Looking Glass Networks, and Cbeyond. A notable entrepreneurial achievement includes founding Echo360, a leader in digital learning platforms. Abate holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and a summa cum laude Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Duke University.
