Christopher Delaplane

Director, Strategy & Innovation at GU Energy Labs / Advanced Food Concepts

Christopher Delaplane has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Christopher began their career in 2010 at Sungevity, where they held multiple positions, including Remote Solar Designer and Sales Business Analyst. Christopher later became the Operations Effectiveness Manager and then transitioned to the Human Resources department. In 2017, Delaplane joined GU Energy Labs/Advanced Food Concepts as a Project Manager in R&D. Christopher quickly advanced to become the Director of Strategy and Project Planning. Currently, Delaplane holds the position of Director of Strategy & Innovation. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Cross Country Coach at The Girls' Middle School in 2017.

Christopher Delaplane's education history includes a variety of certifications and degrees. In 2015, they obtained several certifications from Pragmatic Marketing, including "Pragmatic Marketing Build," "Pragmatic Marketing Certified - III," "Pragmatic Marketing Focus," and "Pragmatic Marketing Foundations." In 2016, they obtained the "Spanish for Foreigners - Intermediate II" certification from Tandem Santiago - Escuela de español en Chile and became an RRCA Certified Running Coach from the Road Runners Club of America. Continuing their education, Christopher earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Sociology, Psychology, and Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley. Christopher further pursued their education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Nutrition Education from American University between 2017 and 2019. Recently, in 2022, they obtained the "Leading for Creativity" certification from IDEO U. Additionally, in 2023, Christopher completed a certificate program in Strategy Execution from the Harvard Business School Online.
