Alexander Tuzhikov is a seasoned bioinformatics software engineer with extensive experience in developing reliable biomedical software solutions. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Bioinformatics Software Engineer at Guardant Health since March 2020, Alexander has previously held significant roles at Illumina, including Senior Software Engineer. Expertise encompasses rigorous testing and implementation of bioinformatics algorithms, collaboration with research scientists, and mining genome sequencing data for healthcare advancements. Alexander's background includes postdoctoral research positions at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and the Institute for Problems of Information Transmission, focusing on NGS bioinformatics and algorithm development for genomic analysis. Alexander holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and a Master’s degree in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
