Desiree Murnane

Desiree Murnane currently serves as Assistant General Counsel for Data Strategy & Security and Senior Counsel for Privacy, Data Strategy & Security and Intellectual Property at Guardian Life, overseeing cybersecurity legal matters and managing the Records and Information Lifecycle Management Program since February 2022. Additionally, Desiree is a Founding Member of the Cyber Counsel Group, a non-profit organization for in-house cybersecurity lawyers, and a 2023 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. Previously, Desiree held the position of Senior Assistant Deputy Superintendent at the New York State Department of Financial Services, focusing on consumer protection and financial enforcement. Experience includes significant roles at Couch White, LLP, as Partner and Associate Attorney, and as an Assistant District Attorney in the Major Case Sex Crimes Unit at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. Desiree Murnane earned a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Theatre from Muhlenberg College.
