Nakul Nayyar

Nakul Nayyar is an experienced professional in financial and investment risk management with a career spanning over 15 years. Currently serving as Head of Financial and Model (AI) Risk at Guardian Life since April 2020, responsibilities include overseeing financial and non-financial risks while supporting portfolio evolution. Previously, Nakul held the position of Head of Investment Risk at Global Atlantic Financial Group, managing an $80 billion portfolio of complex fixed income instruments and real assets. Prior roles included risk analysis for a $500 billion portfolio at Prudential Financial and advisory work for fintech startups. Additional experience encompasses managing trading at Quad Capital and trading at Simpson Capital. Nakul holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
