Stephen Newman

Stephen Newman is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in asset-backed finance and corporate finance. Currently serving as a Senior Managing Director at Guardian Life, Stephen has a focus on capital markets and funding solutions, and leads initiatives within the Investment Department. Prior to Guardian Life, Stephen held significant roles at Deutsche Bank as a Director, where responsibilities included managing a multi-billion portfolio and leading asset-backed financings. At Merrill Lynch, Stephen contributed to the establishment of a top-ranking ABCP business and received a Deal of the Year Award. Stephen's career also includes analytical positions at Standard & Poor's and Westpac, along with foundational experience at TD. Stephen holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University.
