A.r. Shaw

A.R. Shaw is an experienced editorial contributor and media professional with a strong background in sports, identity, and culture journalism. Currently serving as an Editorial Contributor for The Guardian since February 2022, Shaw has reported on significant global events, including the escape of pro athletes from war-torn Ukraine. Previously, Shaw held the position of Executive Editor at Real Times Media, overseeing editorial and operational strategy for multiple national publications. Additional experience includes contributing exclusive content to Red Bull Media House, acting as Assigning Editor at TPT - Twin Cities PBS, and leading a team at Rolling Out as Lifestyle Editor. A.R. Shaw holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Georgia State University.
