Heather McCormick

Heather McCormick is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of External Communications at The Guardian since September 2023, Heather previously held the position of interim Director of Communications at the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Earlier roles include Director of Marketing & Communications at Lumos and communications consultancy, specializing in corporate communication strategies across multiple sectors. Heather's career also includes significant positions at the Youth Sport Trust, where roles included Head of Communications and Corporate Communications Manager, as well as earlier roles in publishing at Elsevier and Network Publishing. Heather holds a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Economic & Social History from the University of Liverpool.
