Sheryl Pinckney-Maas

Sheryl Pinckney-Maas has a long and varied career in business. Sheryl began their career in 1981 as a Staff Assistant for Congressman Thomas F. Hartnett. In 1987, they moved to Congressman Arthur Ravenel Jr.'s office as a Staff Assistant and then to the American Textile Manufacturers Institute as a Communications Secretary. In 1990, they took a position as a Construction Assistant at Combined Properties, Incorporated. From 1993 to 2013, they worked at the U.S. Commercial Service in various roles, including Commercial Officer, Deputy Principal Commercial Officer, Acting Commercial Counselor, and Senior Commercial Officer. In 2016, they founded and became the CEO of Guardian Zone, LLC, a technology solution that keeps people safe in an emergency.

Sheryl Pinckney-Maas attended the College of Charleston from 1982 to 1986. Sheryl also obtained a TIME Mentor certification from the Security Industry Association in February 2021.
