Mark Potter

Mark Potter has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Mark currently serves as the Managing Director for Guardsman, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they founded and directed their own consultancy firm, Management Services Ltd, in 2021.

From 2020 to 2021, they held the position of Managing Director at Lucas Claims Solutions Limited, where they demonstrated strong leadership skills in managing operations and finances. During this time, they successfully navigated a change in ownership and expanded the client base.

From 2018 to 2020, Mark Potter was the Head of UK and Country Manager at Ocaso, a role in which they focused on restoring profitability and modernizing the UK division.

Mark also worked at Rural Insurance from 2016 to 2018 as the Head of Business Development, where they played a key role in digitalizing products and services.

Prior to that, Mark Potter held various roles at NFU Mutual, including Technical Underwriting Operations Manager and National Sales Development Manager.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Sales Manager at NFU Mutual and as a Senior Account Executive at A-Plan Insurance. Mark began their insurance career as an Underwriter at Hiscox in 2005.

Mark Potter has a LLB degree in Law and European Studies from the University of Portsmouth. Mark also has certifications in CII Qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute and Managers Leadership Development Programme from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School.
