Sander Bogaert

Sander Bogaert has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Sander started their career as a Google Summer of Code participant, contributing to the Android mail client 'K-9' in 2011 and the text processor Abiword in 2010. Sander then worked as an intern and freelance developer at Two Roads Software LLC, where they led the Android development and provided consulting on the Android ecosystem. Sander also served as a Doctoral Researcher at Ghent University, conducting research on software protection and the ARM architecture, while also teaching as a teaching assistant for the 'Computer architecture' course. Sander worked as an Android Developer at In The Pocket, where they gained experience in developing high-profile Android applications for the Belgian market. Currently, Sander is working at Guardsquare, where they have held roles such as Software Engineer, iXGuard Team Manager, R&D Manager, VP of Engineering, and CTO. At Guardsquare, they focus on mobile application protection and has contributed to the development of DexGuard and iXGuard software, adding multiple layers of protection to Android and iOS applications.

Sander Bogaert completed their education in a chronological order. Sander attended Sint Jozefs-College Aalst from 2002 to 2008, where they obtained their high school degree with a focus on Latin and Math. Following this, they enrolled at Ghent University from 2008 to 2011, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Subsequently, they continued their studies at Ghent University from 2011 to 2013, completing a Master of Science degree in Engineering (M.Sc. Eng.) with a specialization in Computer Science.
