Vitaly Melnitchuk began their work experience in 2014 at the Israel Defense Forces as a GIS Software Developer. In this role, they developed C# client applications and python scripts in the ESRI platform, as well as distributed backend REST API services in Node.js integrated with Docker, ElasticSearch, and Redis.
In 2017, Vitaly transitioned to the role of GIS Development Team Leader at the Israel Defense Forces. Here, they managed a software development team using Agile concepts and integrated Git, GitLab CI, and Docker for automated builds, tests, and deploys. Vitaly also designed and developed backend systems in C#, Java, and Node.js.
Starting in 2018, Vitaly held the position of OSM Project Senior Developer & Team Leader at the Israel Defense Forces. In this role, they designed and developed an OpenStreetMap platform using Ruby on Rails and JavaScript. Vitaly also worked on data synchronization using Kafka as a pub-sub platform, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and Node.js.
In 2019, Vitaly joined Argus Cyber Security Ltd. as a Software Engineer. Vitaly worked in this role until 2022, contributing to the development of software systems.
Most recently, in 2022, Vitaly joined Guardz as a Software Engineer, where they currently work.
Vitaly Melnitchuk pursued their education at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2010 to 2013. Vitaly successfully completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science during this period.
