Tom Armitage is an experienced professional in community health and food systems, currently serving as Manager of The SEED at Guelph Community Health Centre since March 2015. Previous roles include Project Manager at The Research Shop - University of Guelph, where responsibilities involved managing food-related projects, and Graduate Teaching Assistant, facilitating discussions on food security. With a Master's Degree in Geography and a Bachelor of Science in Organic Agriculture from the University of Guelph, Tom has also contributed to various initiatives in urban farming and social enterprise, including co-developing youth programming with The Village Gardeners and directing programs at Backyard Bounty. Tom's work emphasizes increasing access to fresh produce and promoting sustainable food practices within the community.
