Sophia Rodrigues is an experienced professional in the field of social work, currently serving as a Shelter Support Counselor at Guelph-Wellington Women In Crisis and as an Advocate at Embrave Agency to End Violence. With a diverse background that includes positions as a Relief Life Skills Worker at Thresholds Homes and Supports and a Community Housing Worker at Homes First, Sophia has developed expertise in crisis management, advocacy, and support for individuals facing mental health and social challenges. Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis is a community-based feminist organization providing services on intimate partner violence, sexual violence and human trafficking to women and their children in Guelph and Wellington County. We believe our services must be inclusive and equitable for all individuals accessing our programs while being responsive to issues of race, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic status and/or abilities. Our programs: * Marianne’s Place (emergency accessible shelter) * Rural Women’s Support Program (RWSP) * Sexual Assault Centre (SAC) * Transitional and Housing Support Program (THSP) * 24-hour Crisis Line * Anti-Human Trafficking Program * Public Education and Prevention * Volunteer Program There are no fees for any G-W Women in Crisis services.
