April Zhu is a seasoned producer and editor with extensive experience in media and product development. Currently serving as a producer for the podcast "Until Everyone Is Free," which focuses on the life of Goan-Kenyan socialist Pio Gama Pinto, April collaborates with community organizers to enhance political education through storytelling. In addition to being the senior editor at Guernica Magazine, April has held various editorial roles at Honeyguide Media and contributed to curriculum development at Swahii. Previous work includes product design for ZanaAfrica, where impactful sanitary products were developed, and research initiatives at MIT, exploring technology adoption among microentrepreneurs. April holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Studio Art from Wellesley College and participated in a study abroad program in Environmental Studies at the University of Melbourne.
