Guernica Magazine
Dr. Anna Adima is an accomplished academic and editorial professional with a focus on African history and women's writing in East Africa. Currently serving as an Editorial Assistant at Guernica Magazine, Dr. Adima has previously held the position of Leverhulme Trust Doctoral Scholar in African History at the University of York, where a doctoral thesis explored "Anglophone women’s writing and public culture in Kenya and Uganda, 1959-1976." Additional experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of York, along with internships and volunteer positions in communication and social media with UN-Habitat, Film Africa, and various NGOs. Dr. Adima's academic background encompasses degrees in African Studies and International Studies, complemented by an Erasmus Semester at Université Toulouse - Jean Jaurès.
