Jim Ahne

VP of Marketing / VP of Automotive & 5G Products at Guerrilla RF

Jim Ahne has over 27 years of experience in the wireless and embedded systems industry. Jim began their career in 1991 as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan's Radiation Laboratory. In 1993 they joined Motorola Solutions as an Electrical Engineer in the Analog Hardware Development Team. Jim then progressed to Senior Electrical Engineer in Japan, Lead Engineer in the 3G CDMA BTS Hardware Development Team, and Product Manager in the 3G Strategic Marketing Team. In 2000, they moved to Maxim Integrated Products as a Business Manager for High Performance RF, and later as Director of the Wireless Infrastructure Business Management. In 2013, they joined CEL as Director of the Embedded Wireless Business Management. In 2016, they founded AhnPoint Consulting LLC and provided product marketing services for a variety of wireless and IoT/M2M applications. In 2017, they joined IDT - Integrated Device Technology, Inc. as Principal Product Marketing Engineer. In 2019, they moved to Nokia as an RF R&D Engineer. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Guerrilla RF as VP of Marketing / VP of Automotive & 5G Products, serving a dual role of leading GRF's corporate marketing initiatives while concurrently managing the company's Automotive and 5G Infrastructure product lines.

Jim Ahne has a long and varied educational history. Jim attended Marquette University High School, followed by Marquette University, where they earned a BSEE, Magna Cum Laude in Electrical Engineering in 1991. Jim then went on to the University of Michigan, where they earned an MSEE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1993. Jim then attended Northwestern University, where they earned an MBA - Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1999, with a focus on Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Organizational Behavior. In 2010, they obtained a Project Success Method (Project Management) certification from Project Success Inc.
