Jared Weed

Jared Weed is the SVP, Finance & Operations at Guidant Financial Group. Jared has over fifteen years of experience in finance and accounting.

Jared started their career at Ernst & Young, LLP in July 2005 as an Experienced Staff. Jared completed process testing and financial statement audits for clients in various industries including technology, manufacturing, wholesale / retail, travel and entertainment, and insurance. In November 2006, they joined Symetra as the Finance Director.

At Symetra, Jared was responsible for strategy, direction and oversight for operating expense planning and analysis, incentive compensation calculations and workflow, expense close process, stock-based compensation, payroll, accounts payable, and fixed assets. Jared also had direct oversight for 4 managers and 16 additional employees. Jared initiated, directed, and oversaw new system implementation and process improvement projects. Jared also did accounting research and financial analysis on complex business transactions.

In March 2017, Jared left Symetra to join Guidant Financial Group as the SVP, Finance & Operations. In this role, they are responsible for leading the finance and accounting team as well as overseeing Guidant’s financial operations.

Jared Weed has a Master's degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

They are on a team with Frank Torres - Director, Marketing, Courtney Fuller - Corporate Counsel, and Jeremy Ames - Co-Founder & CPO. Jared Weed reports to David Nilssen, Co-Founder & CEO.
