Bill Porter

Bill Porter has extensive experience in animal welfare and education. Currently serving as a Field Representative at the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind since March 2019, Bill previously directed the Animal Protection and Control department at Larimer Humane Society from January 2005 to March 2019, overseeing operations that served multiple cities and counties. Bill's prior roles include Guide Dog Mobility Instructor at Guide Dogs for the Blind from 1999 to 2004 and Elementary School Teacher at Mayatan Bilingual School from 1992 to 1995, where curriculum development and community engagement were key responsibilities. Bill also volunteered with the Peace Corps in 1992. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Oregon State University.
