Guide Dogs for the Blind
Kelsey Gilbert is a highly experienced professional in both the nonprofit and education sectors. Currently serving as the K9 Buddy Program Manager at Guide Dogs for the Blind since 2011, Kelsey oversees curriculum development, staffing, and program assessments to ensure effective client-dog matching. Previous roles at Guide Dogs for the Blind include Senior Guide Dog Mobility Instructor and Manager of Residential Programs. Kelsey's early career in education includes positions as Music Director at Morris Hills Regional Education Association and Music Teacher at Charles Boehm Middle School. Kelsey holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Rider University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Westminster Choir College, earning distinction and honors in both programs.

Established in 1942, GDB is the largest Guide Dog school in North America and continues its dedication to quality student training services and extensive follow-up support for graduates. Our programs are made possible through the teamwork of staff, volunteers and generous donors. GDB receives no government funds. Services are provided to students from the United States and Canada at no cost to them. GDB is headquartered in San Rafael, California, with a second campus in Boring, Oregon. More than 12,500 teams have graduated from our program, and there are approximately 2,200 active teams in the field currently.
