Guide Dogs for the Blind
Rachel Schraud is an experienced database administrator and development associate with a strong background in donor database management. Currently serving as a Database Administrator Development Operations at Guide Dogs for the Blind since November 2015, Rachel's responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy through audits, managing user access and system integration, producing reports, and supporting gift processing operations. Prior to this role, Rachel worked as a Development Associate at the San Mateo County History Museum, where tasks involved recording donations, generating acknowledgment correspondence, and assisting with special events. Rachel's career began at Sharks Ice at San Jose, where duties included cashiering and ice maintenance. Rachel holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of California, Davis.

Established in 1942, GDB is the largest Guide Dog school in North America and continues its dedication to quality student training services and extensive follow-up support for graduates. Our programs are made possible through the teamwork of staff, volunteers and generous donors. GDB receives no government funds. Services are provided to students from the United States and Canada at no cost to them. GDB is headquartered in San Rafael, California, with a second campus in Boring, Oregon. More than 12,500 teams have graduated from our program, and there are approximately 2,200 active teams in the field currently.
