Ed Ross

Ed Ross is the current President and CEO at Guided Surgery Solutions. Prior to this, they were with ConforMIS, Inc. from January 2006 to December 2009 as Senior VP, Sales/Commercial Operations. There, they were responsible for building commercial operations for the start-up orthopedic personalized medicine company with breakthrough technology. This included defining and implementing foundation marketing strategy and brands for industry's first patient-specific ‘image-to-implant’ resurfacing platform entailing MRI and CT imaging. Additionally, they led development and management of direct sales team (35), distributor network, customer service, training, medical education, reimbursement and KOLs in U.S. and Europe.

Before ConforMIS, Inc., Ed Ross was with ClozeX Medical from January 2003 to December 2006 as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. At ClozeX Medical, they built a start-up disruptive wound / surgical closure company, leading sales, marketing and clinical efforts in plastic, cardiovascular, general, orthopedic, dermatology surgery & emergency medicine. Ed established and directed direct sales force, clinical and marketing/ service and medical education team. Ed launched two generations of closure device and systems to hospital and office markets. Under their leadership, ClozeX Medical tripled annual sales volume consistently. The company achieved multiple awards including THE WALL STREET JOURNAL 2005 Technology Innovation Award for medical devices and 2005 MD&D MEDICAL DESIGN Excellence Award.

Ed Ross has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Rochester - Simon Business School. Ed's fields of study are finance and marketing.
