Russ Pyle

Russ Pyle is a General Partner of Guidepost Growth Equity and has been with the firm since its inception in 2007. Russ focuses on technology-enabled services, communications infrastructure, and vertical software companies.

Previously, Russ was a Partner at M/C Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm. Earlier in his career, Russ was an Associate at TA Associates in the technology group and an investment banking analyst at Alex. Brown & Sons.

Russ enjoys partnering with passionate owner-entrepreneurs to create category-defining businesses. He works closely with his portfolio companies to make key additions to their boards and management teams, evaluate acquisitions, and create long-term strategic plans.

Russ has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an A.B. from Princeton University. He enjoys playing golf, coaching his kids’ sports teams and reading American history.
