Brian Desmond is the Chief Marketing Officer at Guidewire Software. Brian has held various marketing positions at different companies over the years, including VP Marketing at PeopleSoft, Product Marketing Manager at Ariba, Inc., and Senior Director Marketing at Ketera Technologies.

Desmond began their career in 1993 as a manager at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Brian then moved on to Tradex Technologies in 1999, where they were responsible for product marketing. In 2000, they joined Ariba, Inc. as a Product Marketing Manager.

At PeopleSoft, Desmond was responsible for the development and execution of global marketing strategy, including positioning, branding, demand creation, public relations, and product marketing for a division with $300M in annual revenue. At Ariba, they led solution launch and marketing execution teams resulting in Ariba's leadership within target market with over 200 marketplace customers and 11 industry exchanges. Brian also developed the partnership strategy between Ariba and five industry B2B exchanges.

At Ketera Technologies, Desmond was responsible for all aspects of marketing, from product positioning and messaging to demand generation and field marketing. Brian grew the marketing team from 4 to 25 people and increased pipeline contribution by 400%.

Desmond has extensive experience in the marketing field and has proven himself to be a successful leader at various companies. Brian is currently using their skills to help Guidewire Software grow and succeed.

They work with John Mullen - President and Chief Revenue Officer, Jeff Cooper - Chief Financial Officer, and Roland Slee - Managing Director, APAC Sales. Brian Desmond reports to Mike Rosenbaum, Chief Executive Officer.
