David Ruiz

David Ruiz is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in product development, strategy, and marketing. Currently serving as VP & Chief of Staff in Product Development & Operations at Guidewire Software since January 2016, David is responsible for strategic portfolio planning and delivery across the organization. Prior experience includes co-founding AppCrest, Inc. as VP of Products, where David led the development of an innovative employee engagement service, and various roles in product strategy and marketing at companies such as Versata, OpenText, and Serena Software. David holds a BS in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
