James McLoughlin has held a variety of roles in the marketing and communications industry since 2001. In 2001, they began their career as a Board Account Director at MGA Group, a top 20 B2B integrated marketing agency. In 2006, they moved to ESRI (UK) as the Head of Marketing, where they were a member of the Management Team and had accountability for achieving measurable marketing results. In 2011, they took on the role of Head of Marketing, Knowledge Services at The IET, where they were responsible for developing an integrated marketing and communication strategy. In 2014, they became the Marketing Director at BRE, where they were responsible for raising the profile of the BRE brand internationally. In 2019, they began working as an Independent Marketing Consultant, collaborating with purpose-driven organisations to help achieve their commercial and societal objectives. In 2020, they took on the role of Strategic Partnerships Lead at TAP - Thank And Praise, a social thanking platform. Finally, in 2022, they became the Affinity Partnerships Lead at Guiide, a holistic retirement planning platform.
James McLoughlin has a diverse educational background. In 2019, they were elected as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in the field of Marketing. In 2011-2012, they earned a Post-graduate diploma in Digital Marketing from the Institute of Data & Marketing (IDM). James also holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Liverpool in English Language and Literature. Their secondary education was completed at Dr Challoner's Grammar School, where they studied Economics, English Literature, and French.
