Alex Cottrell

Alex Cottrell is an experienced professional in the mortgage industry, currently serving as the Director of Corporate Initiatives at Guild Mortgage since December 2019. In this role, Alex supports corporate and executive initiatives through comprehensive business, data, and financial analysis across various lines of business. Prior to Guild Mortgage, Alex held the position of Lead Business Analyst, Vice President at Union Bank, where responsibilities included managing the Digital Mortgage Project and acting as a subject matter expert for application development. Additional experience includes roles at Plaza Home Mortgage as a Business/Data Analyst, where Alex focused on automation and reporting, and at Synergy 1 Lending, Inc., as a Secondary Marketing Specialist. Alex began a career as a Document Specialist/System Administrator at Security One Lending. Alex holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from UC San Diego and has prior education from the University of California, Riverside.
