Petra Garland

Petra Garland, PMP, currently serves as IT GRC Program Manager and IT Operations Project Manager at Guild Mortgage since August 2021. As co-founder of Simbioza Genesis since May 2014, Petra developed a nationwide volunteer program that empowered 26,000 elderly and youth with essential computer skills, leading to a 25% increase in internet usage among the elderly in Slovenia. Previous experience includes roles such as Project Manager II at Security On-Demand, where Petra managed the deployment of a SIEM solution, and Project Manager at Managed Solution, overseeing IT services onboarding. Petra has also held positions such as Communications and Advocacy Manager at the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovenia, Director at Ypsilon Institute, and various roles at the National Youth Council of Slovenia and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Washington. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in International Business and a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the University of Ljubljana, along with studies at the Università di Bologna.
