Jamyle Kathy Acevedo

Jamyle Kathy Acevedo is a dedicated educational leader with extensive experience in various roles within Guilford County Schools since 2005, currently serving as School Principal at Sedgefield Elementary since January 2018. Additionally, Jamyle serves as a Standard Setting Panelist for the National Boards of Professional Teaching Standards and has previously held positions including ESOL Teacher, Interim Principal, and Assistant Principal. With a solid foundation in English Learner education, demonstrated by a Master's Degree in English Language Learner Education, and a Juris Doctorate from William & Mary School of Law, Jamyle has contributed to the field as an Item Writer and Reviewer for Pearson and as an Adjunct Instructor. Recognized as Teacher of the Year at Union Hill Elementary in 2015, Jamyle's commitment to enhancing educational experiences for students and families is further evidenced through various initiatives and community involvement.
